Sunitha Ramakrishna is a reknowned Carnatic Vocalist and an excellent teacher. Growing up in a traditional south Indian family of educationists, Musicians and music lovers. Foundation in the world of music was laid at a very young age and it was her mother Smt VaraLakshmi who is a Vocoviolinist. Later the intense training under eminent Gurus like, Sri. KariKurmanath, Smt. Sundari Janakiraman, Dr. SK Venkatachary, Dr. Neetha Chandrasekhar, Dr. S. Uma Devi, played a vital role in carving a niche for herself in the field of Carnatic music. Her father Professor G. Purushotham who is highly knowledgeable and great connoisseur of music supported and encouraged her constantly in her journey of learning music and the encouragement and support from her husband Sri D.V. Sri Rama Krishna played a vital role in her relentless pursuit of her profession. She did her Masters in Music from Telugu University Hyderabad. Apart from that she is also a post graduate in English and Maths from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
Her vast repertoire of ragas and compositions and her control on rhythmic aspects of music make her an outstanding performer. She gave programmes all over India. Some of her programmes were telecast in Doordarshan also. She has also been on the judging panel of various music competetions. From the beginning she has a flair for teaching and trained many students of all ages and from beginner level to senior students.
Presently she is teaching online through Skype. She has students from different countries. Her expertise in music, her dedication towards her work, her constant endeavour of learning new things make her one of the most sought after teachers of Carnatic music at global level.
